i guess i needed an outlet, and this is it. thursday night, at the maundy thursday service for youth group, lisa told me and missy that her mom and dad, who are psychologists, were on call to come in to school on monday in case alex didn't make it. the three of us couldn't believe it, and the next morning when my sister told us that she had died

Another reflection on Alex

I remember her birthday last year. She was in our legendary third bell study hall with Zimmerman. It was me and Erin and her and Lauren Sparks.... the study hall where we talked about wearing the skin of the maintainence men and holding the sattelite dish hostage. Her 16th birthday would be coming up in a couple weeks now, I think, and I remember last year when Erin and I made a cardboard crown for her that said "It's my birthday, kneel before me!" and all day we kept on forcing her to wear it.

Now I can only hope that she had as good of a time back then as we did.
