Two Hundred Twenty Sixth Entry

A quick update from Maple Story : a friend reminds me that I am starting to get addicted in a crazy way to Maple Story so I have to stay away from playing at least for one week. Today is the second day and I am pretty "clean".

And now about my university problem. Since next semester I will be fifth semester students, today I am suddenly faced to the ( Read more... )

Michelle, doesn't your university have any classes you can take that are just for fun? What about a music class (which will let you play the piano, if you sign up for one), or perhaps something in kinesiology (okay, so it's gym...it CAN be fun...lol)? If you only focus strictly on the work classes, you'll stress yourself out like nobody's business. "All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy," after all.

You should definitely check into some classes that you don't necessarily need, but would ENJOY. At least for this coming semester, because you're totally stressing out, and you need to relax a little. I've been in that position too...actually, that's why I'm not in school now. ^_^;; I got so stressed out and depressed that I made some bad decisions and lost my financial aid, so now I can't afford to go to school anymore. So, find a way to rest yourself up! If you're constantly freaking out about your classes, the stress will really accumulate and it will only cause you harm. :-(

Good advice but I have one question: Who's Jack?

You know the Cracker Jack snacks? He's that Jack. You see him on the box with his little dog and his sailor hat. :-P

It does sound like you are rather stressed about these upcoming classes. striderexile gave good advice, it's something you should look into. Another idea you could look into would be to find a private tutor. It doesn't even have to be one of those meanies that don't really care. If you have an older friend who's gone through those courses that would help. You might also want to consider lightening your work load by dropping certain, more difficult courses. This way you would have more time to prepare for them. Of course that means you'll graduate later but you'll probably graduate with better marks ( ... )

Private tutor means money O.O
And... there is no private tutor for practical courses T^T
I do have older friends going through the same hell but... I don't wanna bother them too much. I ask some points and somehow they don't understand me and I don't understand them.
And I can't drop any courses. I have to get good marks without dropping them. Insane huh? I know.

I should take some rest I guess... Something like a little trip to the seashore or whatever. Chemistry drives me crazy T^T

Being a poor student does take some getting used to. If you can't afford a tutor then that's out of the question.

You shouldn't look at asking a friend for help as bothering them, that's what a friend is for. If they can help you they ought to. Not understanding them is a problem though, maybe something is just lost in transit?

Why can't you drop some courses? I haven't known a single university that wouldn't allow a student to lighten their workload. It would be silly not to.

A trip to the sea sounds wonderful, just don't forget the lemonade. A trip isn't a trip without lemonade.
