I signed the papers yesterday telling my BoE that I will not be returning for another year in August. O.o Now I if I want to stay in Japan I *have* to find a new job. Most likely teaching as my Japanese does not qualify me for anything else really.

Shouldn't be too hard. Even in an economic crunch Asian families will continue shelling out the doh to get their kids learning English so they can become successful members of big name corporations that the parents can brag about.

I think things will work out for you besides there is pressure for Japan to open up a little more to foreigners these days with their population crunch. :)
