SLeep baby Sleep!

The last few nights W has been having a hard time. 2 nights ago it was nightmares where her would sob and cry in his sleep, and of course I'd go wake him up before he was hysterical! He gets that way that he freaks out and cries and cries, and just sobs for hours afterwards if you don't fix it early. He peed in his bed because his diaper leaked ( Read more... )

Diaper leaking is an easy fix- get different diapers (not being sarcastic). I don't know what you're using now, but they do make overnight ones.

Gasy, nights are harder. What formula are you using? I had phenomenal luck w/ the Good Start line, they have a soy version if that's a concern. Xavi has nightmares like that too. Try not to wake him suddenly. Crying it out sucks. I never did it. I took the easy way out and let Xavi sleep in my bed- but I have a queen size and it's just me. Babies do all sorts of weird things in their sleep. Xavi is a sleep walker now.

You sound like you need some rest.

Yeah we did the sleep thing with W. for a while in our bed, but he was sleeping better in his crib until recently. I suppose some day the kid has to learn to sleep :)

We had issues with him as a baby with formula. We've been on soy since. We had to try like 15+ types of formula and this is the only one he was okay on. I was wondering if it was something babyfoodish he ate that day...

I've heard that kids sometimes have "night terrors", or really horrible nightmares that wake them up with a start and lots of screaming. My brother suspected my 4-year-old nephew of having them. He was not easily consoled when he would have one.

Babies are usually able to crawl backwards before they are able to crawl forwards. I'm not sure why, though.

I don't have kids, but I am certainly a useless font of information!

That is a pretty random knowledge point :) Well hopefully he'll be crawling forwards soon. And the nightmares, eek, I wonder what babies have nightmares about!

Yes it definitely sounds like a rest is in order. remind your boy (the grown one) that you won't be of much use or be able to watch your little one very well if you slip away into exhaustion. Teething, bad dreams, gass, wetness, dogs barking, I'm not surprised he's a mess, I hope he feels better soon for all of your sakes. Is it time to dig out the collar for Lottie? Well your own little LJ group is here for you in anyway we can be!
