 So the other day i wrote this big blog about how after wearing extensions for a week i realised i was only trying to grow my hair long again in order to conform to some male standard of beauty. How for some reason, men think women are only beautiful if they have long flowing locks. Well, i used to have long flowing locks. And they were boring.

Huh, you know I've never really heard a guy get hung up on that whole hair length thing, which is odd now that I think about it; generally, I hear more disparaging remarks about hair length from women, like "Long hair isn't attractive on men" or "I'd never date a man with long hair," whereas most guys I know have a preference, but it's not really a deciding factor. Along the same vein I knew a guy obsessed with redheads, but while we were friends all he ever dated were black haired women and brunettes. I'm not sure where exactly I'm going with this. Our society holds weird values. Good for you for sticking with the style you like. It looks rockin'.

that is weird. Maybe all the guys are know are "traditional" guys who want their women to be classically pretty. It's definitely something i have discussed at length with many female friends. I just cut my friends hair from shoulder length to a chin length bob and her husband begged her not to do it! :/
oh, well. My hair was in a bob when i met my fiance so, he'll have to deal! heh..
