New favourite actor:

BENEDICT CUMBERBATCH.

Note: this does not mean he's my favourite favourite actor, just added to a collection of favourites, which isn't huge. God I make them sound like Star Wars/Harry Potter figurines. Mm.

Not only is he brilliant in Sherlock, he has taught English in a Tibetan monastry. That about sums up the reasons why I'm ( Read more... )

Exams are indeed evil, and Sherlock is indeed ace. :D Oh my, how repetitious of me, mm...

Atonement is a very depressing masochistic, according to my high school English teacher story, in accordance with Ian McEwan's usual style. But it's still great, esp. if you want to read/watch something that explores representations made of the same thing from completely different perspectives, and how powerful misunderstandings can be. However, I can see why you fell asleep though, hehe.

No worries, variants of 'real' are often used in conjunction with other variants of 'real' anyway, I think.

Everything you said here. Everything. Just everything.
On the classically handsome/unusual thing: I completely agree! I myself have never been one for classically attractive faces, just cuz there's nothing I love more than an interesting and unusual face, so I was sold INSTANTLY.
AND THE VOICE. THE VOICE. *dies*.
Speaking of other roles he's had, have you seen To The Ends of the Earth? It's a three part (each episode is an hour and 30) and it stars him, and he is, suffice to say, incredible in it. His character's very spoiled in it actually, to the point of eye rolling, but the redemption is really quite interesting.
And, might I add, THERE IS A SEX SCENE.
*end fangirling (for now...)*

I know, isn't he just AWESOME? :D

I have heard of To The Ends of the Earth! I just haven't really had time to check it out. Though not too long ago I saw another serious he was in called Small Island, which was very interesting, but he has a relatively minor role in it.

Fangirl away! Fangirling is always welcome. :)
