Okay, guys- most of you know I'm a total Volks n00b. Aside from buying 3 second-hand Volks dolls, I have no idea how Dolpas and lotteries and things work... so... theoretically, if I was obsessed interested in bringing one of the Osaka Dolpa dolls home.... what the hell do I do? o.o;

I got a Luna from the Osaka 3 lottery on the Volks USA site, and Piccolo, Anne, and Kurumi from Dolpa 16.

The best thing to do would be to find out when the USA website's lottery starts, and put a bid in. It doesn't matter too terribly much when during the time frame you put a bid in, because it seems to be an actual lottery system and not just first come first serve. You have to give them a credit card number, however they do not use it unless you do in fact win the doll.

If you don't win the doll in the lottery, there's always the after event on the website later with their extra stock from the dolpa, but it's a lot harder (if not impossible) for some dolls/items during that.

aaaand, if neither of this work, there's always paying the scalper prices on Y!J after the event!

Volks usually posts in the blog on the US site when they are accepting entries for the lotteries. Generally there is a link there straight to the entry page, and you just kind of go through like you are making an order. You do have to put in your credit card number, but as was said above, you aren't charged unless you win. If you win, you'll get an email, and they'll charge you. ^^

And omg, SO MUCH LOVE for Tris<3<3<3 I loved reading through that. He's so awesome... such a real person. I could totally envision you just... hanging out with him, ya know?

So I basically just keep an eye out on DOA or the VUSA site... kay. XD; Well, I'll try, and if I don't succeed, then it's not meant to be. The character I'm thinking of for this doll is expendable, and I don't want to pay aftermarket prices. x_x;

OMG, so much love for you for mucking through all of it. I don't think many people would make that effort... ;) He's very real. He just seems like someone I know, inside and out, the only problem is I don't know him in person... yeah, it makes no sense. But sometimes I get really sad, because I *miss* hanging out with him. Maybe he was my twin in a past life and we still have some weird twin connection. o_o *kooky*

I hope you do this, I love hearing about your characters. <3 I'd like to try this for Neige-- I doubt I'd get to 50 (although I probably could have done another 100 for Tris, but then he'd be not-mysterious. ;) and I know I wouldn't for any of the minis-characters... ^^;

Yeah, that oughta do the trick XD. It's worth a shot... though if the doll ends up being super popular it can be harder to win via lottery. There's always the afterevent too, for a second shot. I'm curious who you are considering though.... there are a lot of beautiful dollies this round.

Mucking through!? Hardly! It was an absolute pleasure!! Things like this for characters as intriguing as Tris are like candy to me 83. And I know exactly how you feel about him... I feel the same way about all my boys. I half expect to see them when I'm meandering around the neighbourhood sometimes. Maybe it is a past life thing? x3;

I was definitely thinking of doing it... but I can't decide who to do it for! You should try to do Neige though, she's also very intriguing<3
