BJDC 07 . . . The Spammage Begins. >:3
So, after being awake far too long and asleep for only 3 hours, hawkey96 and I dragged our sorry butts outta bed to head to the airport. ~_~
We headed into Dallas a day early, in order to meet up with puffytuffet and jun_chan and drive with them to Austin. :> The trip there was mostly uneventful... we dug sleep out of our eyes while waiting for food at the airport's McDonalds, arrived in Dallas at about 10am, bummed around, went to the mall (and found some cute F2BM clothes! None of the BABW in Colorado carry F2BM yet! Yay! Ophelia got some stuff right off the bat! :D ), bummed around more, got random stuff, and then finally got puffytuffet and jun_chan packed and ready to go.
We stopped over at jun_chan's while she was packing, and random fun ensued. XD She's fostering the cutest little pomeranian named Gremlin who had horrible fleas and stuff, so he's all old and hairless... but he's so cute! Even though he tries to hump everything.
There's his scabby, wrinkly butt! :D And yes, that is the best picture I got of the poor dog. ;)
He was more than happy to watch the Dolly-rated #1 Sport in America... Rikku (and Rags) torturing Ein. XD Orion and Thistle are obviously enjoying the show, too! Woohoo!
And, using some cut up remnants of jun_chan's old socks, Ren cleverly made himself a hat. <3
AND THEN, THE ROAD! :D It's a pretty decently long drive from Dallas to Austin. Also, some confusion about where exactly the hotel was, and I had to pee like no other. XD That's about it.
DAY 2!
After a good night's sleep, we got up and bummed about Austin. :> A trip to Toy Joy and Buffalo Exchange (Err.. right? That is where we went, isn't it? o.o; ) and before long we were chomping at the bit to get some DOLLY stuff done. XD So we skitter back to the hotel and pick up our badges, meet up with alysonsfriend (or rather, she met up with me, because I'm retarded and didn't see her standing like five feet in front of me :P Durr), get our bags full of goodies (ee, lots of fun goodies!), take pictures, etc etc. As it turned out, we ended up at Chilis for dinner and almost late for the reception. XD hawkey96 and I both won a pair of Dollheart boots, puffytuffet won an RanD Angel (known later on simply as The Fembot) and outfit, jun_chan won an SD girl coat/dress thingie. :> But, we can never be happy with what we have, and so, puffytuffet ended up with hawkey96's boots as a gift to Enzo, jun_chan traded her outfit for someone else's RanD Angel outfit to also give to puffytuffet, and I gave my boots to jun_chan and ended up with a piece from one of the RanD Angel outfits for Xian Li (which is actually pretty wicked, you'll see it later). @_@ *ded*
One of the first orders of business, of course, was to get all the dolls set up. XD
We had a very impressive collection between the four of us-- especially counting the tinies, and especially-especially considering that puffytuffet didn't even bring all of hers! :o
There were heartfelt reunions:
Artemis: "I have missed you~!"

Enzo: "Nice to see you again, carina!"
Me: XD;

Oh, ENZO..... *sigh!*
And new friendships made...

(This is the wig I received in my con bag! It actually looks okay on him, I think... XD He looks like a bleached-beach-bum, hurrhurr. Don't ask me WHAT Ein is doing, I've no idea...)

Ophelia offers her vote of confidence (while leaning quite comfortably on Ren's head). XD We got the little foam fingers at Toy Joy! In retrospect we decided we should have gotten more and used them for table gifts, because so many people loved seeing little Ophelia with hers. :D
This is my OASIS :D A little gazebo thing by the pool... but to really understand it's importance to me, you have to understand that I am a smoker that comes from Colorado, a practically non-smoking state. So... please take note of the ASH TRAY (next to Naked Juice and soda) that is ON A TABLE, in a PUBLIC PLACE. Oh yes. I was well, well pleased.
Let's see... after we'd finished with the reception, hawkey96 kept me company while I opened up the room to sell some things, and the other two went off to shop. kujachan brought her things over to the room, too! :D We stayed around for about an hour, before deciding to visit the other rooms that were open. For some reason I get in the most trouble room-shopping. I find SO MUCH STUFF. O_o Neige, Tris, and even Haruru and Myauling (yes, I know I suck and haven't introduced her yet.. be patient. BTW, here she is. :P ) made out like bandits. XD

Humn. I think that mostly summarizes our first two days in Texas. After the room sales and the extensive money-spending, though, that's when it got really interesting.
