Let me continue by saying bullshit. This is absolute bullshit. You have a boyfriend that loves you unconditionally, a mother and sister who love you, friends who love you and will always be there for you no matter what, especially me, and you turn to a cold, lifeless, completely idealistically obsessed, unloving society for acceptance? Are you fucking kidding me? Cut the crap, stop trying to indulge yourself into a meaningless symbol for acceptance. Don't try to distract yourself from the fact that people do accept you. Don't delude yourself because you're scared of losing that acceptance. It's there, and just because you pretend it's not doesn't mean it'll hurt any less if it's lost. Face that reality, and face the reality that our magazine-cover, obsessive compulsive, triviality infatuated society will never, ever, in your entire life, make you feel better about yourself or fill the gap that's apparently in your life.
You know me, and you know I respect your opinion so I'm not trying to bash you in any way shape or form. But obviously someone wanting/needing to look like this, is suffering from an underlying issue. I don't think it's all about weight.
I can't see these pictures, because I'm at school. But I've felt jealous or even angry at girls who are very thin [like SICKLY thing]. It's exactly the opposite of what I am and because I hate myself, I have wanted to be like that. It doesn't really have much to withsociety [for me at least].
Wait...did I say it was all about weight? If it sounded like that, then I sent the wrong message, but I'm pretty sure I made it clear with the statement "make you feel better about yourself or fill the gap that's apparently in your life."
Not to sound defensive or anything, I just don't want to be misinterpereted.
... are you fucking serious? i mean obviously a DANCER has perfect legs but the other two look emaciated and downright unattractive. hell, i LOVE bones, but that second lady's hips just scare me.
honestly like jeremy said, you're way too smart for this.
Laura, sometimes I wish you'd love yourself as much as we all do...pandayoshoOctober 18 2005, 03:50:12 UTC
I agree with what Debbie said. I'm not saying thin girls are gross, because they aren't, but Neither are heavy girls. What makes someone attractive is so far beyond "Fat and Skinny." Hell, I'm going to write an entry on this, but end this comment with:
Listen to Debbie, she's smart, honest, caring, and sweet. She won't do you wrong.

So cut it out.
You're way too smart for this.
