I got my first ticket. I am so upset right now, I just need to write about it to get it out of my system. No, I did not get pulled over. I got a parking ticket. I'm sure to some of you, that isn't a big deal. People get parking tickets all the time. But it's a big deal to me. I've never gotten a ticket before in my life

I'd been parking in the furtherest ones on nights when they were all empty for month, but then campus parking decided to get anal. I got slapped $150. :P to campus parking. Normally I'd never park in the handicap zone, but when there's 10 empty ones and you're a girl who's gotta walk alone to her car at 11pm...
Worse as far as unfairness goes my old apartment complex used to be really anal about parking. One of my friends parked 1 space over from the guest parking (a large repair truck was blocking the sign). We came out in time to see the tow truck pull up. It cost $75, and the truck hadn't even taken the car anywhere...we were both very cheesed off. Towing companies are evil things.

-not counting parking tickets.
so that sucks, you should fight it. But you know what...that ticket doesn't go on your record. parking tickets are like through the city and your insurance will never know about it. trust me, i know A LOT about tickets. as you can see...so don't worry about it too much. its ok to not be perfect every once in while...hehehe
total of about 9 accidents (i think), 3 parking tickets and 5 "speeding" tickets. but i refuse to believe i was speeding. I was going at my own pace.

i appealed, told them it was not my fault that the school did not have enough space and that i was running late for my class just looking for parking spot!! etc etc....and 2 months later, they left me w/ just a warning. may be i'm not knowledgeable about how bad your record could get, but this too shall pass! so take it easy.
P.S.
thanks for the advice on the religion issue. and i'm so glad to have met you because you're a Greek Eastern Orthodox, though a bit different than Ethiopian, atleast you understand the "tradition" there.
Peace! and God bless!
