Thank you.
Apparently, it was caused by a hit to the head--probably during childhood. They think this because I've developed quite a few compensatory (cheat)skills to avoid falling:) SO, now the vestibular rehab is slow going because they have to undo my old habits. I'm guessing three months or more--I'm hopeful.
It's been quite a ride.
If we are we eat, tonight I'm a root vegetable ;) I can't believe how many veggies I've put down.

Hi--I love the Tassajara Bread Book-love the sponge method to bake bread. I used to make all of our bread (back in the day) using that recipe.

Sorry to hear of the vestibular problem. Do they know what is causing it?

I have no idea why i answered your question in my above response. Well, yes I do, the vestibular disorder causes memory loss and confusion--I hope I recover from this soon. Here I'll quote myself :)

Oh, I have to tell ya, that bread rose HIGH! My gosh that recipe makes a lot of bread. I did add 2 cups white flour and 6 cups whole wheat. I wasn't brave enough to add all whole wheat yet. I'm trying.
I really loved the documentary (http://angelnina.wordpress.com/2008/08/24/zen-baking-bread-and-a-thrift-find/), so i bought his bread baking book.

Thanks for stopping by!

wow those closed head injury things can catch up to you! i have a friend who developed a seizure disorder from a concussion he had decades ago--at least that is the explanation he was given.

Yeah, the Tassajara Bread book--my copy-from the 70's-- no shit. It is yellowed and stained!

you know, it's amazing how our brains will compensate to try and fix our problems. I had no idea I was off balance all of these years. My VRT therapist gives me kiddie exercises i simply can't do without practicing for days. It really pisses me off, but I've learned to calm down in order to get through them.
How sad that your friend developed seizures. I've worried about that for myself, but I'm remaining hopeful that this is the only problem.
Yellow and stained is a good sign!

This is pretty random, but I think I've read that you're a vegetarian? Have you heard of the cookbook titled, "Vegetarian Cooking for Everyone"?

It looks like a winner!

Glad your feeling better. I have been taking fish oil and greens? It has really helped me. Nanogreens or Barlean Greens. Fish oil is the kind that is kept in the fridge. My chiropractor had been telling me to take this cause I had inflamation in my neck and I was having alot of pain.but I was still , I don't know, not listening ( ... )
