I'm so happy somebody else relates to how I feel about this gift giving stuff! I often wondered if it was due to growing up so poor, or if it had something to do with feeling undeserving? In any case, at least I've shared the truth with my family and friends, so now they know the real me :)
I am a gift giver too. I am happier to watch a person open my gifts. I used to make up Valentine's Day bags for my son--even after he was grown.

Isn't that cake yummy? I think next time I'm going to add even more almond. I once had an almond angelfood cake that tasted divine.
