Rachel knew that she messed up and she felt horrible about it, she really did. If only she could get Finn to see that. She had just been so mad at him after the whole thing about Santana came out, she had acted without thinking. For once, Noah had done the right thing instead of her and she was really glad she had. Even if her Finn wasn't a virgin anymore, she didn't want to lose hers out of spite. She just hoped that Finn could forgive her eventually and one day she really would lose hers to him. There was no one she wanted to give it to more than him.

She had been completely depressed since the announcement came out. She didn't even care that she had no solos during Sectionals by the time they came around. In fact, she hadn't cared about Sectionals at all. Everything the last year and a half seemed to just fall away. That was when she realized she needed to forgive Finn, and to be honest with him. But that honesty was what he couldn't handle ( ... )

Tina stayed lost in her thoughts, but she came back to reality at the sound of nearby footsteps. She looked up to see Rachel coming in and sitting down. Tina stayed where she was for a moment, unsure of whether to approach Rachel or not. Curiosity got the better of her, and she put her books down. Tina couldn't resist finding out what happened yesterday. After all, at one point, the two of them had been in the same boat... well, sort of, anyways. She tentatively walked over to Rachel.

"Um, Hi, Rachel. Is everything OK?" she asked. Tina didn't normally go right up to Rachel, but something inside told her that she should say something. She felt as if there was finally something that she and Rachel could connect on: boyfriend issues. Yesterday, they had both been upset with their significant others. That had to count for something, right?

While Rachel was usually front and center during Glee rehearsals--prime spot to give her opinions--she had intentionally taken a place where she just didn't have to deal with anyone. Apparently, however, that didn't get the point across. At least not to Tina.

When the girl spoke to her, Rachel looked up until her eyes met Tina's, but then she averted her eyes immediately keeping her head at the same level. She didn't really want to talk about it. Thinking about the mistake and the breakup hurt too much. They had already broken up once and she ended up dating the lead singer of the rival school only get get her heart broken even more. She didn't trust herself not to make stupid decisions when she wasn't with Finn.

"It's fine," she replied, giving Tina a forced smile, only it was one of those obviously-forced smiles. It wasn't genuine. As good of an actress as she was, that was another thing she just didn't care about.

Tina immediately felt awkward talking to Rachel. Her old shyness began to steal back over her, and she really wished that she had just stayed on the other side of the room and not said anything. She could tell that Rachel didn't really feel like talking...not like they had major conversations or anything on a regular basis as it was. Still, she could tell that Rachel's smile wasn't genuine. If Tina had to guess, based on the fight before they performed yesterday, things were still not right between Finn and Rachel. She could relate. Oh, she could *so* definitely relate ( ... )
