Starting to fill out stuff for college, scholarship applications and loan stuff and such, adn it is......scary and overwhelming, on several levels. I have to admit, I start to panic a bit every time someone reminds me I have three months left of high school

College was hard, but it was also the best time of my life. College was the first time I found what I really loved to do; what I was really good at doing; and who real friends are. Through all of my public school years, I was okay, but kinda blah about things. But college has given me innumerable opportunities that I would never have had otherwise. And it has been, all the bumps in the road included, the greatest experience of my life.

College is scary, and applying is scary. I had family members who were very negative about my attending college, and my high school councilor laughed in my face when I wanted to go (though that's an entirely different issue, and omg still bitter). I went, though, because one of my teachers and my mother pushed me. I can never thank them enough.

So-- Good luck. It's hard right now, and it will be hard then, too, but it will be worth it. College is an incredible experience. Even if I'm half a world away, and just a name on a screen, please know that I am cheering you on. You can do it!

My counselor told me I couldn't get into anything but community college, and made it clear by comparing me tothe rest of the other two girls that were there. So hurrah for teachers you can turn to?

*hugs* But thank you for the thoughts. It definitely helps. I look forward to college! I keep thinking about the sort of experience it'll be. Just...hearing about how I will fail at being on my own kinda dampens the feeling. Still, very many hugs for the comment ♥

You'll be fine on your own!! You did fine when you came to visit us in Florida all by yourself, right? If you can handle yourself then, you'll be fine at college. 8Db

Omg college is the best ever!!! It's so much fun. There aren't any things that could really go wrong....lol. Idk what she's freaking out about. Have you decided where you're going?
