A Week Away

By this time next week, the boy will be home in his bed. We went over his schedule to get on the flight (sure, he's flown solo before, but it's his first time getting to the airport on his own. Am I being too protective by making sure the MAX Red Line runs early enough?). He has two finals tomorrow and one on Wednesday (thoughts and prayers, ( Read more... )

Isn't it awful to let your kids grow up? It's the worst! I don't look forward to it at all.
Tell him the secret to passing the test, and he'll be fine.

He'll do fine. He's just very nervous about upsetting us. He still doesn't quite get how proud we are, despite us telling him. You know how humans are.

Thank you! I'm sure he'll do just fine.

And I'm allowed to be soppy at times. It comes as a perk on my Mum card.

You Mums are allowed to be soppy, and us sons are allowed to roll our eyes at you! :P

Mums are allowed to be soppy, sons are allowed to roll their eyes, and Mums are allowed to smack their sons on the back of their heads!

Oh goody! :) He's coming home for what, at least a week?
Or till New Year's day?

You aren't a bit sappy. Kid can make you cry while down the
street in school, let alone in another state. I had one hours
north of me 'paying the price' for several months. He made
me cry often. And another who was on a military ship and in
the war, and no communication at all for months. That scared
me to death.

We are never ready for what happens to our kids, no matter
how large or small the situation or the child. They have the
power to hurt us, and mostly don't know that until they have
their own kids.

Wait, why did we do this again? ;)

*HUGS*

He's home until Jan. 11th. I have him for three whole weeks. :-)

And I didn't do this. He was a surprise baby.
