There's no Krispy Kreme branches in Scotland yet *cry* So they're a really big deal to us!
I wouldn't go so far to say it's illegal to refuse money, I’m sure shops can have their own policies, and it's understandable to be wary of forgeries when you're less familiar with the design of the notes. But frequently it’s merely irritating ignorance. It can be very frustrating when it’s perfectly valid currency! I’ve never had any money refused, but I’ve certainly had enough hassle over it in cases…
Lol, I just went to their website to check that there weren't actually any stores in Scotland, and it helpfully told me that my nearest branch is 183.1 miles away in Manchester. There's not even any of the Tesco ones.
Oooh, looks like you had lots of fun! :D I must hear more tales tomorrow~ By the way, thanks for phoning the TV people for me, I think I forgot to text you back to say that. xD;
It was fantastic to see you again! As I said, once a year really isn't enough... You looked fantastic as ever. I am extra-impressed to hear you made Mustang too. Sorry that I couldn't princess things up, but maybe when I have more time (and more sewing skills^^;;;).
It really was a great event!
I once had a Scottish note refused at the small shop next to my school. It's silly, really, because they are much prettier than English ones (the new £20 excepted).
...You went to Cyber Candy when the best sweet shop in the world is only the other side of the square?!?! This makes me sad (is a Hope&Greenwood whore).
But....Mountain Dew! We were running late and didn't really look around actually. I also went into some other sweet shop, so I think I did pretty well overall!
