The icon's for me.

Four bypasses down, one to go.

Update: She made it!

But... Coronary artery disease. The Doc said the smoking HAS to stop.

I thought so, despite the doc mentioning to dad that there were some issues with finding places to tie off to due to the damage. Now... I get to tell her to hug her pillow and get her tea for the next few months. >.> I didn't see a teapot while cleaning... note to self.

We all kinda knew that was going to come up on the plus side her Medicare will cover counseling for it. 12 sessions, free but the doctor has to demand it. -already checked on these things-

Spoke with Psalm who has just arrived at the hospital. They will be encouraging Mum to walk a little more and more each day. Psalm is going to track down an internet connection and hopefully use that as a goal for a walk over the next few days.

Spoke with Mum briefly and she said she hurts less today the yesterday. Things look really good so far. Once we get past the first 72 hours they say things will get better and better.

Glad to hear she is doing okay, doubt she is going to be too happy until she is home with her furry kids, do they have an ETA on how long she'll be there?

* says a thank you prayer*

Well, she at least will have had a break from the smoking for the period she has been in the hospital. I don't want to put a damper on things, so I will shut up now.

And... it doesn't smell like smokers live here. Just fresh linens, pine sol and wood oil.
