When I was a kid, I ate an extra hot dog my dad made because I was hungry then blamed it on the dog. They knew it was me but I didn't want to confess to my lie so I still stand by it today.

i told lies like that too. like, i used to go into my best friend's (my neighbor who lived three houses away) house without my parents permission, and then, when mom came hollering up the street for me, i'd run out in the backyard and say i couldn't hear her over our game of barbies.

that was complicated. the point is, i got grounded for weeks anyway, but i'll never admit that i was in her house.

and i don't know why.
