I saw that on TV, I'm like, "what? They don't think the Angels are gonna lose, do they?"
It was so funny, I remember thinking, "Man, I wish I were at this game!" All the fans that stuck around were high-fiving each other in the stands, and making noise like this was a playoff game! I mean, it was like we advanced to the second round, it had that kind of energy!
42-29, with a 25-9 (I think Jose Mota said) as the Angels home record, 7-3 of their last 10 on a 3-game winning streak, given their starting pitching issues, and given the intermittent, temporary loss of some of their major play makers like Kotchman and Anderson... I wouldn't be at all surprised to see that become reality in the post-season! Mike Scioscia is such a brilliant manager, and he deserves to win that Winningest Manager award he received, along with his all-star crew Mickey Hatcher, Mike Butcher and Dino Ebel.
