Epic Fail

Don't ask me how but I managed to crack a rib by doing nothing more than bending down to pick up my dog that weighs maybe 30 lbs soaking wet yesterday morning. I've lifted and carried much more and nothing but the instant I went to lift him to help him up the stairs into the house (he's really old and doesn't do the stairs well anymore) I heard the ( Read more... )

Thanks, babe! I'm dying for these damn pills that I took last night - early wee morning to kick in. Painkillers. I took one and it almost put me to sleep but then BAM - I was wide awake. Now I've had experience with PKs for a long time and I know sometimes they work for me and sometimes they don't and then there are times when the effects are delayed so after I take one I wait to see what it's gonna do. If it does nothing, then I take another. Well, the two of them knocked me out but only for 3 hours!

I knocked out at 2 AM and woke up at 5 AM on the dot which is what my internal clock is set at and lucky for my husband because he failed to set his alarm clock and would have missed his appointment this morning.

Now I feel like my brain is swimming which is an after-effect that I've always hated and I want to go back to sleep but I don't know if the 2 pills are slowly taking me there or if I'll have to take a third. Like I said, I'm careful with them and wait to see how they are gonna treat me.

Hugs!

I'm glad you've been able to rest at least. I've never taken painkillers so I can't actually say what it is like but I've heard they put you to sleep right away XP I'm glad you are recovering well, babe, just be careful with those pills *hugs*

*Munching on virtual cookies* Thank you, sweetie! This does suck and I have brushed a rib before too and = no fun. This was definitely some freak thing that happened or I've suddenly developed brittle bones which I doubt since I'm the accident prone Queen of the World.

Please feel free to friend me back! I've been on yours for so long, I think you were one of my first LJ friends, but of course, being the novice I was back then I forgot to ask you to do the same in return.

Hugs!

Uh...ok. Sounds like a serious case of bad luck.
I got lumbago once just by stepping out off the car, so it doesn't surprise me really. But ow! Be careful now, demand around the clock service.
::hugs:: (very gentle, nonhurting ones)

Weird, freaky bad luck, right? I hypothesize that I was fresh out of a warm bed and out in our recent chilly morning predawn hours, twisted from right to left while bent over and lifted some weight and SNAP! Then a cry of pain split the morning quiet and I walked up the stairs with Red in my arms (right one numb) anyways.

I have a high threshold to pain and can function when most can't. But I like my theory over getting old and having developed brittle bones so I'm going with it.

Hugs!
