E3, Day 2 report! This shite is long, so its cutting time.
So day 2 was a lot more relaxed. Matt, Dino and I began the day by knocking off the small parts of the South Hall that we didnt see the first time. I got a few Konami booth pics that I missed the first day.
After that, we rocked out starbucks and took out the Kentia hall. Kentia was super chilled. Its where are the independent developers go, so it wasnt nearly as crazy.
We spent the biggest chunk of the day in the West Hall, where Nintendo and Sony were. I got to play all sorts of new PS3 games, along with some new DS games. Super hot, if you ask me. The PS3 is really shaping up. We wanted to get into the Nintendo area to play the Wii, but the line was so long that it would have warrented the sacrifice of the rest of our day, so we said negative to that.
The day ended with us hitting the south hall one more time. We hit up the NCsoft booth to see the band and camp out a little more gamage. After that, Matt's friend Mira picked us up and we rocked out a seafood restaraunt, an arcade, and a giant motherfucking cookie. It was a superior end to a superior weekend.
And now, the media report!
#1 Here is the new Castlevania: Portrait of Ruin for the Nintendo DS.
#2 This is a screen from the PSP Metal Gear Solid game. You play as Big Boss. :D
#3 I assume this is a picture of an NPC in the new WoW race, the Draenei.
#4 This is a statue of the new dude as pictured above. :D
#5 Here is a life size Optimus Christ. I mean Prime. Optimus Prime. :x
#6 Angry samurai man? Im not sure.
#7 The PS3. Yeah. Its not in its case yet. Lawl.
#8 Gundam PS3. ROFL ZAKU SNIPED.
#9 NCsoft's rockin band with Tabula Rasa in the backround. OMFGFIRE.
#10 Dino took this one. Matt and I are clearly overly interested in the Pacific Ocean.
#11 Mira and I playing the horrid and horrendous House of the Dead 4. Matt's face says "sup".
That finishes the days pics. But Ive got two more exhibits for viewing and reading pleasure. These are the Chronicles of E3.
First is the Chronicles of Dino. Dino loves the ladies, and thus needed pictures of himself with said ladies. I only possess five of these illustrious pictures. Rest assured, there are more in existance.
Dino #1Dino #2Dino #3Dino #4Dino #5 Second is the Chronicles of Matt. This weekend, I had this ridiculous compulsion to take random pictures of Matt. One is detailed in the day one post. Some of the others are labeled here.
Matt #1Matt #2Matt #3Matt #4Matt #5Matt #6 Now for some awards!
Best Booth: NCSoft. They had a band, fire, great games, lights, and freebies. The win.
Loudest Booth: NCSoft again. Motherfucking band!
Best trailer: Metal Gear Solid 4. Extra Hot.
Best gameplay: This is hard. For me, it was a toss up between FF7: Dirge of Cerberus, NCSofts Exteel, and the PS3s Heavenly Sword.
Best game that no one fucking knows about: Should be S.T.A.L.K.E.R., but since that wasnt there, It goes to Alone in the Dark for PC.
Best Surprise: This is tough. There were a ton of little surprises, but nothing big. Solid snake in the next Smash Brothers is awesome. The rebirth of Earthworm Jim is awesome. The overabundance of playable PS3s was certainly a surprise. Final Fantasy XIII being a trillogy isn't really a surprise. In fact, that's almost expected. Oh yeah, and the confirmation of a live action Metal Gear Solid movie. That was a surprise, though Im not sure if its a good one or a bad one.
So thats about all. There was a dancing plethora of entertaining quotes strewn across the weekend, but i cant seem to recall them, so Ill wait until Matt posts. He'll have em there, im sure.
