Interesting and insightful look at the various ways people may find peace, or seek to find it, both in life and when facing death.

Her experiences with Emily, whatever they are, have convinced Laura that it is time to accept the love being offered to her in this life, secure in the knowledge that, 'when her time comes', it is also waiting for her in the next.

Lovely drabble!! Good work!! I love exploring Laura's relationship with Emily and I love your description of the shore. I love this line too "Until then, she knew who she wanted to be with." Squee!! Get on back to his quarters Laura. He's waiting for you. :)
