SPOILERS! SPOILERS! SPOILERS! SPOILERS! SPOILERS! SPOILERS! SPOILERS! SPOILERS! SPOILERS! SPOILERS! SPOILERS! SPOILERS!

You have been fairly warned,  Though they will be mostly Mary spoilers.

**************************************************

Alright, so yesterday was Scre4m night!!!!!  SQUEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!  It's an old love of mine, I saw the first one when I was 12, so I basically grew up on this stuff.  Which would probably explain why I didn't even jump once during the film.  My brain is conditionned to recognize the musical cues I think.  Sigh.  But ANYWAY!!!!  Scre4am meant MARY!!!!  so I've been pretty excited all week.  We went to the downtown theater cause we weren't gonna go to our local one, not for a slasher movie.  Nothing mroe annoying than have the police interrupt the showing. Yes, this has happened before.  So we showed up early enough, had awesome seats and I was all set to see the goddess!!!

I asked Derik to borrow his iphone, cause my cell is a dinosaur.  Suits my purpose and all, but the cam is total shit.  So he did.  Took a few pictures that will be seen below. :)  Can you say pathetic fan girl?

Movie started classic, with funny lines and things we've seen but it was good.  Of course, I felt a certain impatience, I wanted my Mary!  Eventually, there she was!

Totally cute in a sorta, I don't want to say ditzy, new age-y way, but kinda.  When I first saw her, it was a full body squee!  And then I sorta teared up because I miss her so much!  Anwyay, so cutie pie has a short scene here and another one slightly longer after.  The cool part about the slightly longer scene after is this.  DO you guys remember at the panel in October, Mary talked about what she learned and how Wes Craven thought her about the timing of fear?  Well, in that scene, she's the innocent character who has her cue and jumps in the scene, scarring the shit out of Sidney.  You knwo the one.  And well, she scored!  So the silly part of me was going: Aaaaaw, she did it so good, then the other part of me was beating the silly part with a well, DUH! you moron, She's Mary, of course she's did too good! *eyeroll* So she did awesome.

Now came the scary part with ghost face and Mary trying to get a hold of her 'daughter'

She does freaked out so well!  It's in the voice and everything, right?  So here comes the not so cool part where ghost face is trying to chase tem, we all saw the door close, and then, Mary,s the one who saved the day with truly awesome shoes (Kat was like, you noticed the shoes?!  Mary's feet and toes, OF COURSE I noticed the shoes)

And here came the worse death ever.  Seriously, through the mailbox?!?!  Part of me was sort of relieved because I didn't actually have to see Mary getting stabbed, which you know, is always good!  But then I had to see her spew blood and die.  NOT COOL!!!  I mean, I was well aware that she had to die, after all the Scream rules apply: The mother figure, the boyfriend, the killer(s) all have to die.  We can't escape that.  But neither could I escape my little heart rolling into a ball, going: NOT AGAIN!!!!!  Yes, I teared up.  , almost wrenched Dérik's arms out of the socket!  Cat was rubbing my shoulder going, it's ok, it's ok.  Still not cool.  We need to sit Mary down and have a talk about the whole character dying thing.  but she did die euh... very well?  that sounds wrong, but still, she really did.

Now I find this grossly unfair that she onyl had two scenes, I mean, aren,t there like 4 outfits in the auction prop thingy?  I was really looking forward to see Mary in her PJs.  Yes, pervy, I apologize. :D  But seriously, there has to be a longer cut on the DVD or a shit load of deleted scenes otherwise, I si gonna be VERY UPSET. *taps foot*

Movie on the whole was ok.  Actually better than ok, it didn,t re-invent the genre or any such things, but it sure was better than the third one.  Not quite as good as the first, but close.  There was way too many characters, loads of them superfluous, but the dénouement was good.  Not holy shit, you transcended my life good, but a certain: Uh.  Ok, I buy that.  The lines were funyn and did make fun of the whole "rules" of the genre, the big blond with the big tits, etc.  So you know, if you're a fan of the genre, you'll have a good time, if you're going for Mary, maybe not, but she did so good!!!!  But I enjoyed it. :)
