has anyone here managed to dye there hair by themselves at home and not managed to get it everywhere aswell as your head?

i always end up covered in it. i even plaster my face ears and neck in vaseline, and ye it stops some of it seeping through, but the nest day i always look like someone has splashed purple goo in my face.

Something always goes terribly wrong with me. That's why I can never be assed dying and then having to do roots every few weeks. I'd rather pay some blonde bint to do it or not bother! -_^

i tend to dye the pink bits myself and can usually do it without making a mess. best tip i can have is stand infront of a mirror and get another mirror behind you so you can see the back of your head. also, have somewhere to put the dye (so that youre not holding it allll the time) and just take your time. vaseline is also the way forward, but if its not as affective as it could be then try some really thick body butter/cream. my mum uses that and it seems to work. keep practicing, youll get there in the end!

i have but i didnt dye my hair to well the back was still browish....then my mum (a ex professional hairdresser) re-did it and got the dye everywhere, on my face in my ear lol
