It's my favorite, the first words Kerouac ever wrote that brought tears to my eyes. I still remember when and where I read them and what I was doing.

I was at Amanda and I's place in Marion Center, a fifteen room mansion 4 of us could afford because it was in the middle of NOWHERE.

I was in the "sewing room", cross-legged with my back to the heater.
