Writer's Block: Cooking Lessons

Let's see....I guess my Great grandma 'Ouma Rose' taught me how to cook, then of course I learnt more from my Grandma Hazel & mother. So all the family recipes was passed down to me ( I guessed it skipped my sister because she is more of a Donna Hay cook!!!) Whereas I am more traditial and experimental with my cooking.

I was taught to cook by Julia Childs and my old man... unfortunately, they never got along, so I'd always be sleeping in the back seat of the Buick.

I learned mostly from watching my mom cook. And I get ideas from the food network and make up stuff myself.. I do ok. Mom told me last week she is going to write down all the stuff she makes like chicken and dumplings and cakes and cookies and stuff and put them in a book for me.
