J is going to give me a hard time about this, but I'm going to say this anyway, lol. There's a new show on Lifetime called Drop Dead Diva and it's great! The premise is this: Deb (who is thin and blonde, shallow and vapid) gets in a car accident, dies and goes to a sort of weigh station where her gate keeper, Fred, is trying to figure out whether she should go to heaven or hell. Jane, who is a smart, caring and overweight, gets shot and is flatlining on the operating table. Deb sees on Fred's computer a button to return to Earth, so she hits it. It sends her soul back to Earth, not into her body but into Jane's body. So Jane now has Deb on the inside with all Deb's memories. It's a funny, sweet show that is sometimes a bit corny, but makes me laugh and smile. I'm already shipping Jane with Deb's boyfriend who, in a cruel twist of fate, just got hired at the law firm she works at and I'm shipping Jane with Fred, who got demoted because of her and is now her guardian angel. It may sound quirky, it may sound strange, it may sound confusing, but watch it at least once. It's on Sunday nights at 9 on Lifetime.
