Had lunch with my dad today. He doesn't work in the city anymore and fell off for a little while. I let him be and focused on my mom's lumpectomy and follow up appointments. It's been about 10 months or so since I've seen or spoken to him

About that last sentence: all you can do is lay it in front of him as plainly as possible; you can't make him see, that's up to him. ;-)
