Agreement on you on Dany not being a very good ruler to Meereen; and poor Quentyn :( and Jon's chapter being fun for the first time!

Kind of a cool callback to book one, though. Jon tries to leave the wall for a sibling and his friends bring him back. Several years later, Jon tries to leave the wall and his friends are scattered everywhere and his men stab him.

I get the impression that Ashara's daughter was fathered by Brandon Stark, not Ned.

Quentyn... I'm just numb. I really thought he'd be a dragonrider & I shipped him with Dany like, a lot. I'm picturing GRRM sitting there, laughing with glee, being all "You silly Martell fangirl! How could you be so naive??" Guess I was asking to be slapped down there.

I did however enjoy the Areo chapter we got. I'm really upset for Doran, though. He's lost his sister, brother, wife & now his son. At least he & Arianne have mended their relationship. That made me happy.

Ugh I AM SO WORRIED ABOUT DORAN!!!!1LKJASFJLKAFJLK!!!!!111 Like jesus, that Areo chapter was a crowning moment of heartwarming for me, and then the final Quentyn chapter was such a kick in the teeth. I came out of this book kinda shipping him with Missandei though. XD

I'm actually seriously pissed about that comment right now. I can't see exactly why we'd be pleased that he killed a fucking Martell. Either he flat-out lied or he's talking about things that will happen in future books. I'm inclined to pick the latter.
