[A few minutes after his message a sleepy looking Naoto comes up behind him. She didn't bother to tuck her shirt in and her coat is unbuttoned. She peeks around Kanji and smiles at the Spinarak.]

Hello Katie.

[And then Kanji ...and blushes.] It's good that you've arrived safely.

((ooc: Going on a long hike today so who knows when I'll be back... or if I'll have the energy to get online when I do XD))

[It takes Kanji a moment to notice Naoto, because he's a little bit distracted by his nervous little pokemon. When she speaks, he jumps and Katie makes a frightened little noise.]

N-Naoto! Y-you're here! [Must not have a heart attack. Must not act like a total dork. . . . Damn, she looks cute all disheveled like that...]

I-it's good to see you! [He tries to stand up, momentarily forgetting the pokemon in his lap. Katie makes a little noise of protest, and he curries to hold her while he makes his second attempt at standing, this one more successful.]

Katie is indeed cute, but I fear Chie-senpai won't find her so.

[Naoto is still blushing a little, but she gestures to the Shuppet.] Things have been much quieter since I told them so it seems this is the best for all of us. I did do a little training, but not much, I'm afraid.

Y-yeah, we're... probably gonna have some problems there.

[Kanji takes a look at the new addition to his team. It's... smaller than he'd expected. He holds out a hand to it, and it looks at him curiously for a moment before its eyes start glowing. That would be curse. It's cut off, though, by a sudden shock of electricity from Marilyn. It seems Kanji's other pokemon have come over to see what's going on.]

. . . Well, this'll be exciting. [Kanji watches as the Shuppet shakes its head, trying to shake it off, and pets Marilyn when she hops up to join Katie in his arms.]

Eh, its alright... Katie and Jess fight already, I'm used to it. [Not to this extent, but... Kanji would never complain about a gift from Naoto.]

In this case, more like a dojo. The gym leaders are trainers and if you win a challenge against them, you get a badge. They are considered quite the achievement here.
