I have a hard enough time trying to get my head around any Heathen thinking its a good idea to diss Loki period. I mean there isn't any guarantee that they wont end up with his daughter. Always such a SMART idea to bass the parent of someone in authority over you. But to a gay Heathen? Isn't it a little self deprecating to bash one of the few queer dieties from the northern traditions. Plus there is the fact that as a queer Heathen one is already very much in a minority. It really can't help one to go and alienate one of the few groups who are practically guaranteed to be open to them. I mean a Lokean who is homophobic would be like a Vaudon who is racist to black people.

You'd think so, wouldn't you? But I've run into self-proclaimed Lokeans who think that being homophobic is cool and edgy and nawtee, and who will use homophobic language and attitudes to attack the Aesir (esp. Odin). Le sigh...
