Does... anyone know how to play capture the flag?

I have just learned of this game, and while some may not want to play in the snow...

I would... really like to guard the flag. If...if we can get enough people to play, sometime.

Um, would any of you be interested?

YES.

Do you have any idea how much I love you right now, Aara?

You are like, my guardian recruitment angel.

Thank you for telling me. I know how hard it can be.

[He's almost worried he accidentally offended her, but then she laughs, so he just grins back at her.]

No, I don't think people'd taste good at all. Not even ice ones.

[And then he laughs.]

Hell, yeah. Feeding a bunch of dragons? The idea of having to buy enough food to feed one is what killed my desire to have a dragon as a kid.

[She laughs again at that.]

Oh, I don't know. I'd rather have someone taste like ice than like... whatever a human tasted like. [She winces. Well. That joke fell flat. And the idea of finding out what a human tasted like did not sit well with her at all. A disgusted sound rumbles from her throat. Ew.]

You... have dragons where you are from? [Then her expression turns somewhat concerned.]

As pets?

[She's staring incredulously--disturbed by this idea.]

[Aara may be disgusted, but Bobby's going to take it as the joke it was meant to be, and he chuckles.]

I'm sure it's really bad ice, though. Worse than humans. Yup.

[His brow furrows for a moment at her question, and then he realizes what his comment must have sounded like.]

Oh. Uh. No, we don't have them. Just in books and movies and stuff. But I always thought they were really cool. And it wouldn't have been a pet, it would've been like - a partnership.

[Now she laughs at that, eyes crinkling with mirth and she doesn't even try to stay her big smile.]

Oh, definitely. No eating ice men for me.

[Then she's laughing again, brows lifted high upon her forehead.] A partnership? [She can't help it. Now that she's had a taste for teasing she doesn't want to stop. She leans forward, closer to Bobby, and tried to capture his eyes while humor dances in hers.] Would you marry a dragon, Bobby?

Good! I'm glad we had that conversation.

[He grins widely at her, especially at her laughter. His brows furrows a bit when she leaned in closer to him. He sees that humor in her eyes, and he knows she's up to something.

Which is probably why he doesn't backtrack and stammer that that wasn't what he meant, and instead smirks slightly.]

Of course. I'd get a wife and a dragon to fly me places. Best marriage ever.

[Grinning, Aara can't help but continue to lightly laugh at Bobby's teasing. When he answers her question however, smirking and attempting to one-up her, Aara can't help but be slightly taken by surprise. It was a nice feeling--having someone to talk to like this. She side-bumped his shoulder with her own after a moment, at a loss for words, but still humored and oddly content.]

You'd ask nicely, though.

[Aara lifted her chin a little, a smile teasing her lips while the small glint in her eye challenged him to say otherwise. Her grin widened after a minute.]

I love nothing more than the wind pulling at me and the feeling of being so completely free. [Sending a somewhat sly smile Bobby's way--something he would only see while she was talking about flying or being caressed by wind--Aara lightly bumps his shoulder once more with hers.] If you ask this angha nicely, she may take you up one day. [And then she is grinning again.]

[He smiles cheerfully at the shoulder bump, bumping her lightly back. Then he grins teasingly.]

I'd ask the nicest. What kind of husband would I be if I didn't go all out?

[Bobby pictures that, smiling slightly. It sounds familiar - sort of like the way he felt when ice sliding, though he imagines actually flying would be somewhat different.

He bumps her shoulder back automatically before her words sink in, and then his eyes light up a little.]

Really? You would? Oh, man, I am definitely going to have to work on the nicest asking ever.

[Her expression is clearly amused as she watches him. She stays sillent until she notes the light in his gaze, and shakes her head before grinning sheepishly at the ground. Now she was embarrassed.]

Well. You are my friend, so you don't have to worry about asking too nicely, Bobby.

[Besides. It had been a while since she had actually flown. She yearned for open skies and warm afternoons, or cool nights to fly in. Bobby would probably appreciate some of the coldest of nights.]

[He smiles at her, definitely pleased at that.]

Well, it'll have to be at least a little nice. It's flying. I know some people who can fly on their own, but I've never done it. The closest I come is ice sliding, and that's not really the same.

[She grins.]

Not the same at all.

[A little shrug.]

Well, if you ever want to fly, you know where to find me. Not... too many people know about my ability to transform, though. I... I wouldn't want to startle anyone.

Thanks, Aara. I mean it, that's - really cool. And a really awesome thing for you to offer.

[He nods and smiles a bit ruefully.

I can understand. I didn't use to be so public with my abilities, either, not outside of my school. Suddenly finding out someone has special powers can be a bit of a shock for some people.]

Less so with people here, though, it seems.

You're welcome. [She wouldn't have offered if she hadn't meant it, after all.]

Well... I have found you, right? You're not an average human, so... I suppose there may be others with other... special abilities, too.

[He smiles brightly at that.]

You have! And you're right. There's a lot of people here with special abilities, actually. Most of the people I've met seem to have one kind or another.

[Aara glances sharply over at Bobby when he mentions that.]

They are? The people here?

[He blinks a bit.]

Um. Yeah? At least a lot of the ones I've met, anyway.
