acnl: deleting villagers received via streetpass
after the boo-boo that moved an animal from my secondary town to my main town via streetpass, i've tried it again -- this time an animal from my main town to my secondary.
the result so far seems that i've deleted a streetpassed animal via the main 3DS screen via the notification area. i had to re-create the conditions of a streetpass so i deleted (in my main town and in my secondary) the houses already present in the hh showcase of my main and secondary town. the streetpass was fresh. my main town house and my secondary town house was not in either hh showcase.
this is what happened:
day 01 - animal in boxes
1. the animal in my main town was in boxes 01 may.
2. i streetpassed my main and secondary town on 01 may and there was no animal transfer (as far as i can tell) on that day. the notification area only had 1 notice in each place (model house of [x] from [y]).
3. i deleted both houses by going into the game and talking to digby.
day 02 - animal gone from main town; anticipating that i will receive the boxed animal into my secondary town
1. may 02 - i streetpassed my main and secondary town and there was no animal transfer (as far as i can tell) on that day. before i opened my game, i checked the notification area. the notification area only had 1 notice in each place (model house of [x] from [y]).
2. i deleted both houses by going into the game and talking to digby.
day 03 - anticipating that i will receive the boxed animal into my secondary town
1. may 03 - i streetpassed my main and secondary town. before i opened my game, i checked the notification area. in my main town, there was only 1 notification (model house of [x] from [y]). in my secondary town there were 2 notifications ( model house of [x] from [y] AND met [x] from [y]. )
2. i deleted the second notification that was in my secondary town. (met [x] from [y]).
3. i opened my game and walked around my secondary town and found no roped up area and notice board that tells you an animal will move in the next day.
the most broad conclusion thus far is whenever you receive a second notification from a streetpass, you need to delete the second notification.
there are 3 notifications you can get from a streetpass:
notification 1: model house of [x] from [y]
notification 2: hello from [x] from [y]
notification 3: met [x] from [y]
notification 2 or 3 *COULD* mean that you received an animal in boxes. JUST TO BE SAFE, DELETE "hello from [x] from [y]" and "met [x] from [y]" whenever you get it.
i will keep testing to see which notification is actually the one that tells you that you got an animal from boxes via streetpass.
