Which American accent do you have?

It seems like everyone is coming out either Northern or Neutral. I wonder what questions made the difference.

Which presumably means I'm from Switzerland.

My hunch is that the "roof" moved me from "Midwest" to "Neutral." I pronounce it the way way Rudy Lewis sings it in "Up On the Roof." If I weren't such a lover of that record, I might pronounce it so it rhymed with "woof."

I naturally pronounce "roof" like Rudy Lewis does. It has nothing to do with the fact that the Drifters are my favorite vocal group.

I'm thinking maybe you're neutral because you moved around so much--the Ohio/California blend.

Maybe I'm Northern because I'm Swedish (we sound like we're neutral, but we're secretly not).
