Scared --- Need Health Insurance

I may have to quit the only job where I'm eligible for health insurance, crappy though it is. The COD Board of Trustees are trying to become the first institution of higher education in the country to pass the so-called Academic Bill of Rights. If that happens, I'll have to quit ( Read more... )

Wow, and I thought it was bad when the U of I told us that we could have political bumper stickers or wear political buttons on campus. (And they backed down on the bumper stickers and partially on the buttons when people went ballistic.)

Maybe this is your sign to go back to graduate school full time. Do you have enough money to do that? Grad school generally comes with student health insurance.

I checked with my library school, and they do have health insurance. Luckily, I'm eligible for the first time this spring. And it's so much better than my current insurance; it's almost too good to be true.

Is it wrong to get so excited about shiny new health insurance?

A bunch of COD board members are up for reelection in April. I'll be posting more info. later on.
