acnl - day 27? 24 (with pictures) & perfect town status!

at least i think it's day 27.... (eta: it's 24... i think.)
i've managed to change the town tune to "farewell and adieu to you spanish ladies" (heard recently from the master and commander: the far side of the world movie) . the tune has numerous lyrics versions and is also a whaleman sea shanty/song -- appropriate for a town called "queequeg".

using this abc notation , i did up the first bit of the song for the tune for the town. just hit "play" and you'll hear it.
i managed to catch the second rarest fish in the game, the tuna, on saturday purely by luck. the fishing tournament was on saturday and i took a break from trying to catch black bass -- the required fish for the tourney -- and decided to ocean fish for a bit. it was a nice surprise.
i managed to get second place in the tourney so that was fun. i thought i had first place with a 23 inch bass, but francie the rabbit caught a 23.6 incher. ::sigh:: ah, well. c'est la guerre.
saturday night was acoustic night at club 101/lol and if you request a song from k.k. slider/ dj k.k. , the credits run as he sings. you can request more than one song and i read somewhere that you can sit there and request 100 songs or somesuch and get all the k.k. slider badges in one shot, but i wasn't crazy.
on weeknights, dj k.k. does mixes of his songs. they're not bad, believe it or not.

this morning, i achieved perfect town status! i saw a jacob's ladder flower as i was doing the town rounds and went to the town hall to confirm it with isabelle.
and yup, perfect town! it unlocks special projects and if i keep "perfect town" for 15 days, i get the golden watering can which lets you water 3 plants at once and enables you to grow golden roses. (of course i need to suspend the "beautiful town" ordinance to lo let the roses wilt to black and then water them with the golden watering can or somesuch. it seems like a crazy amount of stuff to do.)
woot! perfect town! (even if it's only a day.) the next town project is the flower clock :) and then town hall renovation. off to make more bell$.
