acnl: day 51 & 52 update - w/ pics
15 december 2013 is day 52
-- the day after the 50th day of play, the leaves of the town plaza tree of queequeg finally fell off. also, since i passed the milestone of 50 days, my character is able to sit under the town plaza tree and daydream (eyes closed) on day 51. ( day 51, i.e. saturday, was also the december fish tournament so apologies for chip being in the shot.)
if your character stays seated under the plaza tree, the history of your town begins to roll. very cool!:
-- i did the whole "quit w/o saving" thing again and here's a more complete screenshot set of the things resetti says to you:
clever bit of programming, that, as people do reset when things don't go their way in a game. lol.
-- saturday (day 51) was fishing tourney day and this time you can fish anything you'd like. i went to the island, of course, mainly 'cos i wanted to try to get the entire fish furniture set. didn't work, as chip only gave me 2 or 3 pieces and the rest were random items i didn't want. argh. anyhoo, here's my fishing ensemble: fishing vest, jeans and a straw hat. short sleeves despite the snow on the ground. lol.
got first place 'cos i fished on the island and caught sharks.
-- during winter in acnl kingdom, you'll get aurora borealis lights in your town now and again. i think they happen during set hours, but i'm not too sure on that score. another neat event during winter months. :
-- another neat winter thing, lights will appear on some of your cedar pines:

-- and lastly, although i didn't get a screenshot, barold the gray bear cub says he's moving out on the 20th of december. i let him go 'cos i already have a lazy type personality in town (hugh the blue pig) and one is enough for me. if another villager moves in after the 20th, i hope it's a cranky personality type as that's the only one i'm missing.
