Punching your mom in the face could have some adverse side effects like; alienating family members you still want to have a relationship with, jail time, homelessness, and sore knuckles. Even though you can't stand her now it is a bad idea to permanently burn your bridge with her. It is amazing how a decade of separation seems to improve parent/child relations and having your own children hastens the healing. Your relationship with her will probably never be good but other family members will see how you deal with your mom and wonder if you may ever treat them that way. Think of it like international diplomacy, if you pick a fight with someone you don't like, the people you do like will probably lower their opinion of you. It sucks but my advice to you is to put on a plastic customer service smile and be as kind to your mom as possible until you are financially independent.
