Starbucks is closing 600+ stores. All of them are stores with a net loss at the end of the fiscal year, and a significant number of them were opened in the last 2 years ( Read more... )

I heard about the closings and immediately thought of you. Have you gotten a chance to try their new "Sorbetto" drink? They're trying it out in SoCal.

no, but i've read cryptic things about what i assume is the Sorbetto. we will be launching this new "Vivanno" smoothie thing with 1 real banana per drink in a few weeks. i am skeptical.

Eww, that sucks. I don't have any help to offer besides throwing rocks at the board of directors. Or maybe a bunch of sharpened spoons or those little coffee stirrer things.

I wonder if my catapult could reach Seattle?

can your catapult reach the economy and make it so that people will be willing to pay $4+ fora cup of sugar, fat, and caffeine?

No, the catapult can only really make people want to seek cover and flee for their lives. Its economic impact can be staggering, though, provided it hits a bank. Even then, I don't think smashing all the money with a big rock will help.

As for the struggling economy...I've got other siege equipment for that.
