It was -- you can tell this wasn't just one more commentary to make deadline for him.
My husband isn't a fan of Obama, but even he thinks this birther thing has gone way past an amusing idiocy and is skirting around treason now.
If the president's father had been a white man from England or Canada, there wouldn't have been this fuss about him OMGProving!! to the masses (since the proper authorities have long since seen the evidence and accepted it) that he'd been born in Hawaii. It's clearly the desperate flailing of a bunch of racists who are grasping at any moldy straw they can find in their frantic quest to get the black man out of the White House. I wish meteors would fall on all of them; it'd be a welcome shot of chlorine into the gene pool of the country, and of the Republican party in particular. Maybe clear out some of the top spots for the intelligent, rational Republicans who've been shoved aside for the last fifteen years or so. [sigh]
I'm with you brother. I feel your disgust and sadness over this fiasco. Donald Trump would realize his mistakes sooner or later. We'll be there when that happens that's for sure.
I think the time is for introspection and to move ahead, we are facing the hardest times of our lives, we should ignore all these rumors and get down to some constructive thought & work. Trump will regret!

Also, I hate Donald Trump. He's an idiot and a snob. I don't know why anyone gives him the time of day. What a jerk.

I wish I could be so sure. I've seen way too many idiots stay idiots until the day they died. I hope you're right, though.
