I wish words like "scene" and "scenester" would leave everyone's vocabulary. permanently. They are those really irritating words that when used, can turn someone I don't really have an opinion on into someone I can't stand. really, i just wish everyone would get along. and that lame people didn't exist at all. but they clearly do. I wish i could explain it more. people should never be valued by the bands they listen to or how many shows they go to or how they dress. what happened to the way people treat others being an important factor? I like crappy music. and i'm the first to admit it. but at least it means something to me. i say, go with how you feel, live a life that deep down you believe is right for you and then nobody can move you. I'm just sick of seeing flimsy people judging other flimsy people. as if either of their opinions matter. get right with yourself and then grow up and move on. if you can't be friends with someone who listens to o.a.r. and dispatch, or saliva and limp bizkit, or jessica sipmson and brittany spears, or toby keith and martina mcbride, or finch and the used, or the blood brothers and boys night out, or as i lay dying and everytime i die, or btbam and martyr ad, or terror unless they also listen to buried alive and first blood, or however better your taste in music is than the rest of the world, then you are totally missing what is important in life because i guarnatee there are more solid kids than you that listen to all of those kinds of music. blah. whatever. sorry if i lost you. don't get offended if you make fun of scenesters all day. or if you are one. my point is that personality is really all that should matter. and how people treat you. and if someone is nasty to you, it's not because they are a "scenester" or a "rich kid" or a "jock", it's because they are a shitty person. or because you are.

also, what happened to being there for your friend when it's his 21st birthday after he supports you and goes to your shows or gives you rides to shows far as fuck away and gives you tons of free shit that you are totally psyched on and is a genuinely nice dude? i'm glad everyone has their priorities straight. fuck.
