Remember my post from about a month ago, when I was talking about the black people in HP? This doesn't go hand in hand with that, but this article DOES sort of relate.
I think that this guy's main grievance is that Rowling bothered to call them black. Kingsley, Angelina, and Zabini have all gotten as much or more description than say, Neville, or most white characters really. I mean, if you figure that Angelina's about on par of importance with Katie Bell, she's described more; we know she's tall, thin, black, and has hair in braids. We know nothing about Katie. If you think that Zabini is about as important as Susan Bones, we certainly know more of how he looks; the shape of his eyes, the set of his bones, etc, whereas with Susan all we really know is that her hair was in a plait. And if Kingsley is as important as, say, Sturgis Podmore, we know more about him; he's tall, muscuar, strong, bald, has an earring, and Sturgis is...sandy-haired.
--I have no real deep comments at the moment, as brain is temporarily lost, but I will say this--
The percentage of black people in Britain is, I believe, significantly lower than that of America, or maybe that's just my perception. It varies from area to area of course, but that seems to be the general rule.
