honesty and kindness are two major fine human qualities..i often think that you should treat people the way you want to be treated yourself but then there are always some few people that you treat better or worse for no particular reason..
And there's legitimate reasons for being less-than-kind: if Hitler were to cut in line at the pharmacy to buy six million lottery tickets, I probably wouldn't be very nice to him. I also have very little patience for those with no sense of humor (although I always try to give people a chance-- sometimes it takes a while to come out) and those who only think about themselves.
Golden rule is definitely key. Pretty much the only rule I take completely serious.
Did you leave out 'never' there? Don't know if it's a crime but...
Mr. Show is innovative in its stream-of-consciousness format, stars David Cross and Bob Odenkirk (the latter cracks me up as the father in this skit), and has moments which are beyond hysterical. My only complaint with it is where it gets a little bit too referency with the Gen-X signifiers, but it never becomes too annoying-- that's only 10-15% of it all and most of it is just ridiculous, yet intelligent comedy.

But yeah - I know WHAT Mr. Show is, I just never seen any of it, until right now.
As for it being funny... well, I didn't find this skit that funny. Then again, I've been the target of public humiliation for a quick laugh.

yes, to kindness.

I find there's a split on how people take that skit. I think you have to be a bit of a postmodern geek to truly appreciate it.
