I knew that panel from The Long Tomorrow that you posted the other day looked familiar... I didn't know this guy has been around for so long! Thanks for sharing this.

I was really into Heavy Metal magazine as a kid. Think I can remember it as far back as 1979... it made a huge impression on me. I'm just getting back to realize just how much of my visual aesthetic tastes revolve around the guy. He is so versatile, it didn't even register it was the same guy. :)

I'm going through the back issues right now. I've got all of 'em from issue 1 (April '77) up to 2008 loaded up on a couple DVDs.

It's really something to go back through these, I must say, with more experienced eyes.
