To those that celebrate this weekend, please have a joyful Samhain.  I will be crazy busy and will most likely forget to wish everyone a wonderful and fruitful holiday.

theboomboom made mention of reading a required book with the "Swiss Cheese" (tiny bites throughout).  I did that last week on a chapter of a book that is rather repetitive and dry.  I kept falling asleep in the book.

Ok, my mind needs to dump.  I have the first school's classes for the next four weeks.  The second school starts on Monday.  Yes, there is a three week overlap for me.  Oh, yeah!  7 classes interwoven for that time.

Julia and I went to see Julie&Julia this morning.  It was:

Inspiring (for more than cooking)
Delightful
Funny
Poignant
Emotional

We loved it, and I enjoyed seeing it with her.  Wish Dan could have gone with us, too.  It is definitely a chick-flick, but the thread of supportive marriages was gratifying.

I made a lovely dish.  Couscous mixed with Taboule.  Now, couscous was not new to me, but the taboule was.  When mixed together you get OMG!  Why did I not know about this before?

Homemade taboule and couscous.  And they are both low fat AND low calories to boot.

I win!

I have been looking around the studio, in particular the computer's area, for the strange sound.  No, no CD in the drive.

I know that I did not leave anything on the stove to cook (I sometimes forget about the tea kettle).  Save for the coffee that I brewed about 1 1/2 hour ago, I've not cooked anything this morning. So that cannot be it.

I was a teenager when, weekly, Charlie released his angels onto the world.  I watched every episode.  Loved the role model of strength and feminity that they portrayed.  You mean that women can do what men can do?  And their boss was invisible so they had to make the choices of the in-the-moment decisions.  Kate inspired me for her mind, Jacquie ( Read more... )
