I'm really glad that we're friends, especially at this point in time when it feels like some of the people closest to me are getting, literally, farther away so we don't talk as much as we used to. I know they're not abandoning me, but talking to you and knowing you're there makes adjusting to the absence just a little easier. Sometimes I actually contemplate how difficult this time would be for me if I didn't know you. Thank you.

You honestly do mean a lot to me, I hope you know. And maybe this wasn't phrased in the best way, but the gist of it is that I love you and...I'm not afraid, apparently (in the words of another great Amy, of course).
