Ok that was weird - as I typed in 'Stuff' as the subject, LJ suggested I make it 'makeup stuff'....when in the hell did I use THAT as a subject for an entry?? I guess it's not THAT unlikely

Sorry that winter has been taking it out of you.
So you still have random hedgehogs coming into the house, or do they hibernate or something in the winter?
The weather here is starting to feel a bit like autumn--especially noticeable early morning and late evening. It's lovely and makes me want to work in the yard.
I'm taking tomorrow off work which means that I'll have three glorious days in a row that I don't have to go to work. I'm aiming for getting a lot of stuff done around the house and yard so that I can finally feel caught up. Or caught up-ish, at least.
When I was walking the dogs this morning Lloyd was already up and out on his porch having a smoke and a coffee. So I went down and joined him and his sister-in-law for a while. Josie the pup is doing fabulously well.
My chickens still haven't started laying, but they have started trying to escape the barnyard.
So very nice to hear from you, to get a longer update!
I usually view bruises as a mark that I'm doing something right, actually -- out there, taking risks, enjoying life. Of course, I'm more than a bit of a masochist, so that might be playing some role here. Still, the wound on the back of my hand? It has been a royal pain, but hey, it's a mark that I'm not sitting on my ass watching telly all the damned time, I'm trying new things and so forth.
Pole dancing sounds a lot like gymnastics.
Also, I envy you your facial hair. Hell, I think one of the main reasons I want that last ovary out (one ovary and the uterus is already gone) is that I'd have a better chance of getting facial hair without all that estrogen. Is "having to shave on a daily basis" a good enough reason to have surgery? (I do have other reasons, but anyway.)
It's crazy when you start to get facial hair and it's all these odd colors that aren't even on your head! I have white black blond and red in mine along with the light brown that the rest of my quickly balding hair is. Those cupcakes sound delicious!
