Watched Inception on blu-ray tonight, still love it, had a new thought. Or maybe an old thought and I simply forgot I'd had it. Anyway...

My opinion was that he was still in the dream world, because they made the mention of not letting anyone else touch your token, yet his token had actually been his wife's. But good point about the children's ages.

yeah I reached that conclusion watching it the first time, although to be honest I think Nolan deliberately constructed the film to be ambiguous - I don't think we're ultimately supposed to know.

Also the shot of the kids playing is exactly the same as a memory he kept having.

I think the top was wobbling too so I think he was still stuck in a dream.

Also there is the bit at the end when the top keeps on spinning, implying that it was a dreamworld of some sort.

Besides, the kids' shoes are different in the ending. I did notice that, and the girl seemed older than the child in the dream sequences.
