Movie viewing in 2010
Boring statistics really, for my own interest.
In 2010, about 15% of the films I watched were action flicks. An additional 14% were science fiction, 13% were comedies, 11% were foreign films and 10% were dramas. Those five broad genres made up about 63% - or nearly two-thirds - of all the films I watched.
What interests me is that my genre habits in 2010 were quite different to my habits in 2009. For one thing, I really didn't watched horror in 2010 the way I watched horror in 2009. In 2010 I watched 16 horror films. In 2009 I watched 35 - that seems a massive drop down to me. In terms of percentages: 16% of the 2009 films were horror, and only 5% of the 2010 films were horror.
