are you allowed to be irked at someone for doing something they don't know they're doing, and something that your sane mind says shouldn't irk you, but does anyway?

if i'm allowed then i wouldn't feel so bad about it. as is i feel like a giant hypocrite, and that i'm the only one who's run into this phenomenon
